Jude Modern is based on the original Jude Script developed by Ruh. As he began to use the script for various commercial and personal work, it had a natural evolution into a new modern variant. He has since begun to work on creating a unique script, highly inspired by typography, with a flat baseline but without losing the calligraphic features that made Jude classic so popular.

There are variations of the style, both slanted as well as regular. Other variants include the strokes being elongated and the baseline being more calligraphic. This evolution allows the script to be highly flexible and modern.
