Black and Red is a series of 4 canvas paintings painted with a palette knife. The theme for each piece is the depiction of individual Thuluth letterforms (except for the Ha-Mim) and the vibrancy and energy that each one represents. The pieces were produced for an exhibition in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates in 2013.
A video produced for the exhibition can be seen below. The artwork ‘Saad’ has also been featured in a BBC TV Show and ‘Ha Mim’ as the cover of a Swedish book.
